Application Process

STEP 1: Submit Your Application and References

Explore our volunteer roles above to see what fits you. Please read the role descriptions (if applicable) before applying to confirm that the position(s) suits your interests and availability. Complete and submit the volunteer application package.**

**We are not currently accepting applications other than for our Refugee Support Team Leader/Member role. If you want to apply for this specific position, please email [email protected] directly to receive the link to apply.

All volunteers are required to provide two references completed by individuals who know you well and are not family. The referee should complete their reference online via the link below.

STEP 2: Informal Interview

Once your application and two references have been reviewed, we will determine if there is a possible opportunity. If there is, a Volunteer Administrator will connect with you to schedule a volunteer interview within a couple of weeks. If there are no suitable opportunities, we will contact you and keep your application on hand in case an opportunity arises in the future.

STEP 3: Submit Your Police Check & Final Steps

If you are offered a volunteer role during the interview, you will be required to submit a police check with vulnerable sector screening. If you already have one completed within the last year and is the original copy, please bring this to your interview. Otherwise, a volunteer letter will be issued to you to take to the police station after your interview.

STEP 4: Wait to Hear from Us

Many of our roles do not start immediately. NCC likes to ensure a good match between your skill-set and our organization’s needs. Depending on your role, it may take time for us to match you. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
