The New Canadians Centre strives to provide education to the general public about issues related to immigration. We are available to deliver presentations regarding our programs and services, as well as to facilitate workshops related to cross-cultural communication and cultural sensitivity. We will also gladly work with your group/organization to develop a workshop that addresses your needs.
We work with a variety of community organizations in Peterborough to improve the settlement and integration of new Canadians. These partnerships include research collaborations to explore gaps in knowledge, initiatives to provide training opportunities for our clients, and events to raise awareness about cultural diversity in our community. Over the years, partnerships have been established with organizations which include, among others, the Workforce Development Board, Community and Race Relations Committee of Peterborough, Community Opportunity & Innovation Network (COIN), and the Trent Centre for Community-Based Education. For a full list of our partners, please read our AGM Report . Please contact us to explore potential opportunities in which we can collaborate.
To keep up-to-date on all of our activities and events, join our mailing list by sending your email address to the Outreach Coordinator.
