Carolina was born and raised in Colombia. Carolina completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science at Trent University in 2005. She has been working at the New Canadians Centre ever since. Carolina loves to work with people!

Michael has been providing employment services at NCC since April 2009. He assists new Canadians looking for work as well as employers hoping to hire new Canadians.

Michael has been involved in various social justice activities, including  cycling around Lake Ontario for Africycle, raising money for the Stephen Lewis Foundation, and assisting in the administrative work for refugee sponsorship applications. He finds joy in this work.  Michael wrote the web page www.peterboroughcareers.com as an initial effort to encourage employment searches here in Peterborough.

Liliana provides settlement services to new Canadians.

Liliana was born in Mexico and came to Peterborough in 2004. She has a university degree in Business Administration from Mexico. When she moved to Peterborough she worked as a customer representative at AmeriCredit. She was also part of the New Canadian Employment Initiative (NCEI), a program designed to help immigrants obtain Canadian employment experience.

Luz Ofelia provides settlement services and organizes a variety of programs and activities for new Canadians in the Northumberland region .

Luz Ofelia has a university degree in Business Administration from Colombia. She arrived in Canada in 2001, and graduated from the Toronto School of Business (now Trillium College) in Cobourg in 2003. Luz Ofelia joined the New Canadians Centre in June 2007 as part of the New Canadian Employment Initiative (NCEI), a program designed to help immigrants obtain Canadian employment experience.
